However, let's not forget how rewarding designing can be. So Felix is right-design, as a profession, is not all about glamour, and it's important for others to understand that. Unfortunately, this means we face rejection more frequently than professionals in other fields. As designers, we often put our designs up for auction in the hopes of finding a buyer. What we provide is not just a pretty design, but our ideas, thoughts, vision, style, and our unique perspective of the world. We work hard and invest more of ourselves than others might realize. We don't sit around pushing buttons, eating pizza, and sharing memes all day. ![]() However, Felix is correct in pointing out that designing is not all glitz and glamour. I love what I do and can't imagine doing anything else. Design, as a profession, was a dream career for me then, as it is now.
